✨ How to Apply Press-On Nails ✨
Follow these simple steps for a long-lasting, salon-quality manicure at home!
What You’ll Need:
✔️ Press-on nail set
✔️ Nail glue or adhesive tabs
✔️ Nail file & buffer
✔️ Cuticle pusher
✔️ Rubbing alcohol or nail prep wipe
Application Steps:
- Prep Your Nails – Start with clean, dry nails. Remove any old polish and wash your hands.
- Push Back Cuticles – Gently push back your cuticles using a cuticle pusher for a seamless application.
- Buff & Shape – Lightly buff the surface of your natural nails to remove shine and create a better grip for the press-ons.
- Clean with Alcohol – Wipe nails with rubbing alcohol or a nail prep wipe to remove oils and dust.
- Size Your Nails – Choose the correct sizes for each finger. If a nail is too big, file the edges for a perfect fit.
-
Apply Glue or Adhesive Tabs:
- For Long-Lasting Wear (1 week +): Apply a thin layer of nail glue to both your natural nail and the press-on.
- For Temporary Wear (1-3 days): Use adhesive tabs for easy removal.
- Press & Hold – Align the press-on with your cuticle, press down firmly, and hold for 10-15 seconds to ensure a strong bond.
- Shape & File – If needed, file the tips to your desired shape.
- Enjoy Your New Nails! 💅✨
💅 How to Remove Press-On Nails Safely 💅
Removing press-on nails correctly is key to keeping your natural nails healthy!
What You’ll Need:
✔️ Bowl of warm, soapy water
✔️ Cuticle oil or acetone
✔️ Cuticle pusher or orange stick
✔️ Nail buffer
Removal Steps:
- Soak Your Nails – Place your hands in warm, soapy water for 10-15 minutes to loosen the adhesive.
- Apply Cuticle Oil – Add cuticle oil around the edges of each nail to further break down the glue.
- Gently Lift the Nail – Use a cuticle pusher to gently lift the press-on from the sides. Do not force it off! If it’s still stuck, soak for a few more minutes.
- Remove Residue – If any glue remains, buff it off gently with a nail buffer.
- Hydrate & Nourish – Wash your hands and apply cuticle oil or hand cream to keep your nails healthy.
Tip: If you used adhesive tabs, the nails should peel off easily without soaking.
With proper care, most press-on nails are reusable, so store them for your next glam moment!
